Spicy and Tangy Chicken Ghee Roast Recipe | Easy and Delicious Indian Dish

Chicken Ghee Roast is a popular Indian dish that is known for its spicy and tangy flavor. Made with marinated chicken and clarified butter (ghee), this recipe is easy to make and can be served with rice or roti.


  • 500g chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 3 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry leaves for garnish


  • In a mixing bowl, add the chicken, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Heat ghee in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  • Add a few curry leaves and toss well.
  • Serve hot with rice or roti.
